Considered interiors for the way you live

Renovating, building, or just not sure where to start? I help you understand what's worth changing, what's worth keeping, and the clearest path forward.

Where most projects begin

Most people who come to me have been living with the same questions for a while. A kitchen that's tired, or no longer working as well as it could. A layout that suited a different stage of life. A renovation that keeps being put off, because it's a lot to get wrong. Or a new build, where the layout, materials and finishes all need deciding before construction begins.

They aren't in a hurry. They want to get it right — and they'd like someone to think it through with them.

How I design

A home has to work before it can feel calm. So I start with the practical: where the light falls through the day, how you move between rooms, and where things land when you walk in the door.

Then the materials. I lean towards the natural, the low-tox, and the kind that age well. The aim is a home that works beautifully now, and long into the future.

That thinking runs through every service, from a single kitchen to a whole-home plan.

Behind the studio

I'm Olivia Munroe. I originally trained in architecture, lived for many years in Spain, and have been making things by hand — textiles, pattern, gardens — for as long as I can remember. All of it taught me the same thing: a home should be defined by the people who live in it.

Oliv Interiors is my studio in Newcastle, working with homeowners across the city, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter.

How it works

1. An introduction call. A short call, free, no preparation needed. You tell me about your home and your plans; I'll tell you honestly whether I can help.

2. A design consultation. Ninety minutes together — in your home, or over your plans — walking through how you live, what frustrates you, and what you'd never change.

3. A written proposal. Exactly what your project needs, what it involves, and what the design work will cost. Then you decide.

It all starts with a conversation.

Whenever you're ready, I'd love to hear about your home.
