Bathroom & Laundry Design in Newcastle & Lake Macquarie
Practical, well-planned spaces that make daily routines feel easier – now and long term.
Bathrooms and laundries are some of the hardest-working spaces in the home. When they’re planned properly, everything runs more smoothly – circulation, storage, lighting, and the small details that affect comfort every day.
We design bathrooms, ensuites and laundries across Newcastle and Lake Macquarie that are functional, calm and well resolved – whether as a focused upgrade or part of a broader renovation.
Who this is for
Bathroom and laundry design is a strong fit if you:
Are renovating or updating a bathroom, ensuite or laundry
Want to improve layout, storage, comfort and ease of use
Are planning for long-term practicality (better accessibility and lower maintenance)
Feel unsure about fixtures, finishes, lighting or layout decisions
Want clear direction and documentation before engaging builders or trades
Many clients come to us when their spaces no longer suit daily routines – or when they want to renovate once, and do it properly.
What’s included
Each project is scoped to suit your renovation, but may include:
Site measure and review of existing conditions (as required)
Layout planning, functional zoning and clearances
Custom vanity and joinery design where required
Guidance on tiles, fixtures, tapware, sanitaryware, mirrors and fittings
Lighting intent and integration where required
Schedules and specifications to support pricing and ordering
Design documentation to support accurate quoting and construction
Design support at key decision points during implementation (as agreed)
The aim is to resolve decisions early – avoiding common issues that are costly or frustrating to change later.
The process
Bathroom and laundry projects follow a staged approach so the design is resolved before documentation begins.
1. Discovery Call (20 minutes) A short call to understand your project and confirm the best starting point. If it feels aligned, we’ll book your paid consultation.
2. Paid Initial Design Consultation (90 minutes) We meet on site (or online where appropriate) to understand what isn’t working, what the space needs to support, and key constraints such as plumbing locations, structure, storage needs, and daily routines.
3. Scope + Fee Proposal Following the consultation, you’ll receive a custom fee proposal outlining the recommended stages, deliverables and investment for your bathroom and/or laundry.
4. Layout + Functional Zoning We develop and refine the layout so circulation, storage zones and clearances are resolved early – including practical positioning of key fixtures and joinery.
5. Joinery + Storage Planning We resolve vanity and joinery design (where required), focusing on usability, storage capacity, and proportions that suit the space.
6. Fixtures + Finishes Selection We confirm tiles, fixtures, tapware, lighting and key details so the space feels cohesive and suited to your home – with durability and maintenance in mind.
7. Design Documentation We prepare clear drawings and schedules to support quoting, coordination and construction. Documentation scope is matched to your project – enough for build clarity and accurate pricing.
8. Design Support During Implementation (optional) If you’d like us involved during the build, we can agree on a level of design support for key check-ins and decision support.

Paid Initial Design Consultation + Custom Fee Proposal
Every project begins with a paid initial design consultation. This is where we understand how the space is used day to day, clarify priorities, and define the scope before any design work begins.
The consultation fee is paid in advance to secure your appointment.
Following the consultation, you’ll receive a custom fee proposal outlining the recommended stages, deliverables and investment — giving you clarity on the right next step before committing to construction.
