Full-Service Interior Design in Newcastle & Lake Macquarie
Calm, cohesive design for multi-room and whole-home renovations – guided from the beginning.
Full-service interior design is for homeowners who want a considered, well-resolved home, without feeling overwhelmed by decisions or trying to hold the process together themselves.
We support clients across Newcastle and Lake Macquarie through early planning, design development, and documentation – so your renovation is properly resolved before you commit to building. The focus is consistent: a home that functions beautifully, feels calm and cohesive, and supports the way you want to live now and over time.
Who this is for
Full-service interior design is a strong fit if you are:
Planning a whole-home renovation, extension, or major interior update
Renovating multiple rooms and want the result to feel cohesive
Looking for thoughtful layout planning, storage and joinery resolution
Wanting clear guidance before you engage builders or trades
Ready for support across materials, finishes, lighting and key fixtures
Renovating with long-term comfort, usability and maintenance in mind
Many clients come to us when their home is entering a new stage – updating a family home, preparing for future needs, or simply wanting the home to feel easier to live in over time.
What’s included
Every project is scoped to suit the renovation, but full-service interior design may include:
Spatial planning to improve layout, flow, storage and day-to-day function
Concept direction for the overall look and feel of the home
Joinery planning as required (kitchen, bathroom, laundry and built-ins)
Guidance on materials, finishes, lighting and key fixtures
Design documentation to support accurate quoting and construction
Design support at key decision points during implementation (as agreed)
If you have a particular priority – simplifying daily life, improving comfort, creating better storage, or planning for long-term ease — we shape the scope around that from the start.
The process
Full-service projects follow a staged process so decisions are made in the right order, and the design is properly resolved before documentation begins.
1. Paid Initial Design Consultation (90 minutes) We meet in your home to clarify your goals, assess constraints, and define what support will be most useful.
2. Scope + Fee Proposal Following the consultation, you’ll receive a custom fee proposal outlining the recommended stages, deliverables, and investment for the work ahead.
3. Preliminary Planning We refine the brief by looking closely at how you live – how you move through the home, what feels difficult, and what needs to change. This is where priorities, adjacencies, and practical planning decisions become clear.
4 Concept Design We develop the spatial plan and overall design direction – key layout moves, planning options where required, and the look and feel of the home.
5. Design Development We refine the design in detail – joinery, materials, fixtures, lighting and functional planning – so the project is resolved before documentation. This is where the decisions that make a renovation feel calm and cohesive are properly worked through.
6. Design Documentation We prepare drawings and schedules required to support quoting and construction. Documentation scope is matched to the project — clear enough for pricing and coordination, without overproducing unnecessary detail.
7. Design Support During Implementation (optional) If you’d like us involved during the build, we can agree on a level of design support to assist with key decisions and help carry the design intent through.
A clear first step
Start here – Discovery Call (20 minutes)
A short call to understand what you’re planning and confirm the most sensible next step. If it looks like we can help, we’ll book your paid consultation.
Paid Initial Design Consultation + Custom Fee Proposal
Every project begins with a paid initial design consultation. This is where we clarify what matters, identify priorities, and define the scope before you commit to anything bigger.
The consultation fee is paid in advance to secure your appointment.
Following the consultation, you’ll receive a custom fee proposal outlining the recommended design stages, deliverables, and investment for the work ahead. This ensures the next step is clear, properly scoped, and appropriate to your project – rather than rushed or assumed.
Not sure where to begin?
If you’re still early in the process – or deciding what’s worth doing now versus later – start with the Initial Design Consultation. It will bring clarity to your scope, priorities and next step, before you commit to a larger design service.
