Kitchen Design in Newcastle & Lake Macquarie
A kitchen that looks considered – and works well, every day.
Kitchen design is for homeowners renovating their kitchen who want clarity from the start: a well-planned layout, resolved joinery, and a material palette that will age well over time.
We design kitchens across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland and Port Stephens, with a focus on flow, storage, proportion and day-to-day usability – so the kitchen feels calm, functional and properly resolved before you build.
Who this is for
Kitchen design is a strong fit if you:
Are renovating or replacing an existing kitchen
Want a layout that improves flow, storage and functionality
Feel overwhelmed by the number of decisions involved
Value well-considered materials and a calm, resolved finish
Want clarity before engaging a builder or cabinetmaker
Whether you’re making a few key improvements or reworking the kitchen entirely, the aim is the same: a kitchen that supports daily life and feels cohesive with the rest of your home.
What’s included
Every project is tailored to suit the scope, but kitchen design may include:
Site measure and review of existing conditions (as required)
Layout planning to improve workflow, movement and practical zoning
Joinery design and storage planning
Guidance on materials and finishes (benchtops, cabinetry, splashback, hardware)
Key selections as required (appliances, sink/tapware, lighting integration)
Schedules and specifications to support quoting and ordering
Design documentation to support accurate pricing and construction
Design support at key decision points during implementation (as agreed)
If your kitchen forms part of a larger renovation, we coordinate the design direction so the home feels cohesive.
The process
Kitchen projects follow a staged approach so decisions are made in the right order and the design is resolved before documentation begins.
1. Discovery Call (20 minutes) A short call to understand your project and confirm the best starting point. If it feels aligned, we’ll book your paid consultation.
2. Paid Initial Design Consultation (90 minutes) We meet on site to understand how you use the kitchen, what’s not working, and what needs to improve. We clarify priorities, constraints, and the level of change you’re considering.
3. Scope + Fee Proposal Following the consultation, you’ll receive a custom fee proposal outlining the recommended stages, deliverables and investment for your kitchen.
4. Layout + Spatial Planning We develop and refine the kitchen layout with careful attention to flow, clearances, storage, and daily workflow.
5. Joinery Design + Key Decisions We resolve the cabinetry design, storage approach, and the practical details that make the kitchen work — proportions, appliance integration, and key functionality.
6. Materials + Key Selections We confirm a material palette and key selections so the kitchen feels calm, cohesive and well considered, in a way that suits your home and your preferences.
7. Design Documentation We prepare clear drawings and schedules to support quoting, coordination and construction. Documentation scope is matched to your project – enough for accurate pricing and build clarity, without unnecessary overproduction.
8) Design Support During Implementation (optional) If you’d like us involved during the build, we can agree on a level of design support for key check-ins and decision support.
A clear first step
Discovery Call (20 minutes)
A short call to understand what you’re planning and confirm the most sensible next step. If it looks like we can help, we’ll book your paid consultation.
Paid Initial Design Consultation + Custom Fee Proposal
Every kitchen project begins with a paid initial design consultation. This is where we understand how you use the kitchen, clarify priorities, and define the scope before any design work begins.
The consultation fee is paid in advance to secure your appointment.
Following the consultation, you’ll receive a custom fee proposal outlining the recommended stages, deliverables and investment for your kitchen – keeping the scope appropriate, and ensuring you’re not committing to more than you need.
