Whole-Home Master Plan in Newcastle & Lake Macquarie

Resolved layout planning and a clear roadmap – so your home works better as a whole.

The Whole-Home Master Plan is for homeowners who know their home could function better, but don’t want to rush into room-by-room decisions without a clear overall plan.

We look at the home as a system – flow, zoning, storage, light, comfort and daily usability – then develop a resolved floor plan direction and a practical sequence for what to tackle first. The goal is clarity: fewer false starts, better decisions, and a home that feels calmer and easier to live in over time.

Who this is for

The Whole-Home Master Plan is a strong fit if you:

  • Feel like the home doesn’t flow well, but can’t quite pinpoint why

  • Need better storage, zoning, or circulation across multiple areas

  • Are planning a staged renovation and want to get the order right

  • Want to future-proof the home without over-renovating

  • Are considering a purchase or a major update and want a clearer direction first

  • Want confident planning before engaging builders or trades

This service is also ideal when you’re in a transition – changing family needs, working from home, preparing for long-term comfort – and want the home to support daily life more intelligently.

What’s included

Every Master Plan is tailored to your home, but the Standard Master Plan includes:

  • A review of your existing floor plan (or on-site verification as required)

  • A whole-home planning assessment: flow, zoning, storage and usability

  • Two proposed layout options

  • One final resolved floor plan direction

  • Two revision rounds

  • A staged roadmap: what to do now, next, and later

  • A clear recommendation for next steps (what should be documented properly, and at what level)

Important: This is concept-level planning. It provides a resolved direction and a roadmap, not builder-ready documentation.

The process

1) Paid Initial Design Consultation (90 minutes) We meet in your home to clarify what’s not working, what matters most, and what you want the home to support over time. We’ll discuss constraints, priorities, and the level of change you’re considering.

Outcome: a clear brief and a custom proposal for your Master Plan.

2) Scope + Fixed-Fee Proposal Following the consultation, you’ll receive a fixed-fee proposal outlining the inclusions, deliverables, and timeline for your Whole-Home Master Plan.

Approval point: proposal acceptance confirms the scope and starts the Master Plan phase.

3) Master Plan Development (2 options) We develop two layout options that address the core issues – circulation, storage, zoning, and function – and present the key moves behind each option.

Review meeting included: we walk through both options, test them against your priorities, and confirm the preferred direction.

4) Revisions + Final Resolved Plan (2 rounds) We refine the preferred option through up to two revision rounds, then issue the final resolved floor plan direction.

Approval point: sign-off confirms the final plan.

5) Roadmap + Next-Step Scope We provide a practical sequence for what to tackle first, plus a clear recommendation for the next phase — whether that’s kitchen/bathroom documentation, joinery planning, full-service design, or furnishings.
